Hearts Being Healed Conferences
How it Began
Hearts Being Healed Ministries was first conceived through the Holy Spirit by Terrie Olson. She is the Executive Director of this ministry. It took three years from the time God started showing her His vision and desire for this conference until it actually came to fruition.
God revealed to her that He wanted this conference to be about healing women; about God’s restoration and reconciliation with these women. He gave her 7 specific guidelines to follow:
- This is to be a one- day conference.
- You are to take care of the women on that day and make them feel very special.
- You cannot charge over $25 for each woman.
- You must have redeemed men present to serve the women throughout the day!
- The women speaking are to be women who, like you, walked through a very difficult time in their lives. They will tell their journey through this tough time in their life, how they struggled with the pain, how God showed up in their lives, all the way through God’s restoration, reconciliation and healing.
- You are not to sell anything at an HBH Conference.
- Board members need to be from a variety of different Christian based churches. No church is to have sole ownership of HBH.
God revealed to Terrie four other women’s names from multiple denominations that she was to talk to about sitting on the board for this conference. To date, Terrie, Donna and Sara are still very active on the Chico Board. Planning began furiously in 2003 and the first Healing Hearts Conference was on February 19, 2004. That first year we had a total of 65 attendees.God steadily increased in numbers for over 20 years. Praise the Lord! These are ladies from many denominations, churches, towns and states. We are still growing, and God is providing for all our needs.
Where We Are Today
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-based conference. All proceeds of every conference are placed 100% back into the conference.
We are growing at God’s pace; as it should be. We currently are located in Chico CA, Yuma AZ, and Nampa ID, and opening this August in Prescott AZ.
The Hearts Being Healed Conference is a place for you to find God’s love, healing, and restoration. Come join us for any of our conferences. Take your burdens and nail them to the cross and leave them there. God has a purpose and a plan for you. Let’s start your road of reconciliation together.
The Vision of HBH coming to Arizona.
Moving from Northern California to Arizona came from another vision God gave me, Terrie Olson.
God showed her a Bicycle wheel. The center of the bicycle wheel known as the hub represented Arizona. She saw all the spokes that came from the hub to the rim. God showed her that each one of these spokes was another Hearts Being Healed Conference.
The vision was overwhelming. But often when God speaks it is overwhelming, each of us has to decide to follow or fall away. They chose to follow.
Where will it go from here? Only God knows.
John and Terrie are ready for whatever God sends them. If that means planting other HBH Conferences in other towns or cities, they are willing. Stay tuned with us and together we will see what God has in store for HBH.
