I was really looking forward to the conference this year because I know that Holy Spirit  will be there to meet those that attend this year’s conference just like He met me the first year I attended.  My life was changed forever, and He will change yours, too, if you keep an open heart.

And an open mind. Trust Him.  He has your best interest at heart.  I’ll share with you the scripture He gave me… use it, believe it.

Ezekiel 36:26

“… and I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”

That’s what he did for me spiritually when I was having a difficult time forgiving somebody because I had hardened my heart!

Perhaps you have read or heard about Hearts Being Healed conferences before but didn’t think it was for you.  If you have a preconceived idea of what happens at these conferences, let it go, and be open to the Holy Spirit and what He wants to do for you that day.

Attitude is everything!  I went to a couple of sessions for other people, but I wasn’t open for myself, and I convinced myself that it wasn’t speaking to me.

But when I went back with an open attitude and an open heart, it seemed to me like everything had changed about the conference, and then God said to me,

“The conference hasn’t changed; it’s you I have changed.”

Because I went with an open heart, He changed me forever, giving me a new heart and freedom in place of  being bound by unforgiveness and bitterness.  Now I wouldn’t miss a conference in a million years if I wasn’t in a hospital bed waiting for my miracle.

I am physically unable to attend the conference this year, but I pray that you will go. Jesus will meet you there, and I will be there in spirit.  Perhaps you will be the one who wins the quilt that I made and donated for the drawing.  It comes with my love and blessing.  ~ Maria Katanic

You can register at the door on Saturday if you miss the deadline, but we cannot guarantee there will be a lunch for you.  Our deadline is for our caterers to have time to prepare.

Maria Katanic has been a board member of HBH Chico Chapter for many years.  She has an amazing heart for people.  Her many talents and generosity has blessed so many women over the years with her unique gifts.  She has made and donated the quilt we give away at our Chico conferences for the last several years. Each one is unique and one-of-a-kind, just like our Maria. She loves this ministry, and she loves hearts.  Her home is full of heart art, and her kind and thoughtful daughter brought some of them to her hospital room to make her feel more at home. You can see them in the photos.  Even her blanket is covered with hearts.

We visited her last week to encourage her, but guess who came away more encouraged and blessed!  We took her some rocky road ice cream which she loves, and this beautiful exotic flower, called Protea, a native plant of South Africa.  Chris chose it to take to Maria because it, too, is unique.
