It is a Privilege to Walk Beside Courageous women

Serving as the Hearts Being Healed Speaker Coordinator has become one of the greatest honors of my life. While the title describes what I do, it barely captures the blessing of what I experience. Every day, I have the privilege of walking alongside extraordinary women who have chosen courage over silence and hope over despair.

When people ask me what I do as the Hearts Being Healed Speaker Coordinator, I usually smile because there really isn’t a simple answer. Yes, I coordinate speakers, schedules, and help prepare them to deliver their talk—but that’s only a small part of it.

The real blessing is the people.

Every speaker I have the privilege of serving has a story that reflects God’s redeeming love. Their journeys are filled with moments of heartbreak, healing, surrender, and incredible courage. Each one has made the decision to step out in faith and share the story God is writing in their lives so that someone else can find hope.

The fact that these amazing women trust me to walk alongside them is something I never take lightly.

I get to encourage them when they’re nervous before an event. I get to remind them that God doesn’t call the qualified—He qualifies those He calls. I get to celebrate with them after they’ve shared their testimony and hear about the conversations that followed, the tears that were shed, and the lives that were touched.

Perhaps my favorite part of this ministry is something most people never see.

I get to pray.

I pray before phone calls. I pray before speaking engagements. I pray when someone is wrestling with fear or wondering if they’re ready to share their story. I pray for peace when old wounds feel close to the surface again. I pray that God would speak through every word and prepare the hearts of every person in the audience.

Those quiet prayers have become some of the sweetest moments of my own faith journey.

There are times when I find myself in awe of how God works. He takes stories that once held pain, shame, or brokenness and transforms them into powerful testimonies of grace. Then He uses those very stories to remind someone sitting in the audience that they are not alone—and that healing is possible.

That is the beauty of Hearts Being Healed.

As Scripture reminds us:

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” — 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)

Every one of our speakers is doing exactly that. They’re offering the gift of their testimony so others can encounter God’s hope and faithfulness. Watching them answer God’s call is one of the greatest privileges of my life.

Another verse that has become especially meaningful to me is:

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2 (NIV)

That’s what I believe we’re doing together.

Sometimes carrying someone’s burden looks like listening. Sometimes it looks like sending a text to say, “I’m praying for you today.” Sometimes it means celebrating their courage after they step off the stage. Other times it simply means reminding them that God is with them every step of the way.

None of us is meant to walk this journey alone.

Serving with Hearts Being Healed has also changed me. It has strengthened my own faith and reminded me that God rarely wastes our pain. Time and time again, I’ve watched Him take someone’s deepest wounds and use them to bring comfort, encouragement, and healing to another person who desperately needed to hear, “I’ve been there too.”

What a beautiful picture of God’s love.

To every Hearts Being Healed speaker—thank you.

Thank you for trusting me with your stories. Thank you for allowing me to guide you, encourage you, cheer you on, and pray for you. Your courage inspires me every single day, and I count it a tremendous blessing to serve you. You continually remind me that God is still in the business of restoring hearts, redeeming brokenness, and bringing beauty from ashes.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your story could make a difference, I want to encourage you to trust God with it. He has a beautiful way of using our journeys to bring hope, healing, and encouragement to others. You never know whose life may be changed because you chose to share what He has done in yours.

If I’ve learned anything in this role, it’s this: ministry isn’t always found behind a microphone or on a stage. Sometimes it’s found in the quiet conversations, the whispered prayers, the encouraging phone calls, and the faithful relationships God builds along the way.

And for that – the opportunity to be part of such ministry, I am deeply grateful.
